    Event Description: Sixeart started his artistic career in the graffiti world of Barcelona in the late 80s.
    In the mid 90s he started experimenting with sculpture and painting until 98 when he felt the need to have his own Studio.
    His painting is a powerful composition of colors and geometrical forms.
    He sometimes incorporates signs that leads the viewer into his imaginary world inspired by the urban landscape, the city\'s melancholy, the genetic manipulation, the romanticism for the world that\'s left behind, the images lost in the passage of time…
    For this third exhibition at A.L.I.C.E. Gallery, Sixeart is presenting a new body of work including two large diptychs inspired by the composition of \'Guernica\'.

    C’est en 2008, que, de la sission du groupe de graffeurs « The ERS », naît le collectif Pica Pica. Sous ce nom (> latin pica : pie) collaborent, Boris Margotteaux (1978), Manuel Falcata (1979) et Jérôme Degive (1980), formés ensemble à l’Académie de Liège.

    A un art grandiloquant et cérébral, ils opposent avec malice une pratique spontanée et expérimentale, inspirée des sensations, matériaux et images glanés au hasard de leurs déambulations à vélo; de préférence dans les non-lieux et zones oubliées de la Cité ardente. Fragments d’architecture, gravât, morceaux de bois... inspirent des oeuvres- peintures, installations, dessins...- réalisées à 6 mains dans un processus d’échanges permanents. Certes, il y a de l’enfance dans l’émerveillement qu’ils opposent à la banalité des choses. Mais qu’on ne s’y trompe pas : le regard qu’ils nous invitent à porter sur le monde n’en est pas naïf pour autant.

    Félicia Atkinson is born in Paris in and currently resides between Paris, France and Brussels, Belgium.
    After studying anthropology at Paris VIII and fine arts at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris, and also trying contemporary dance with Boris Charmatz, she moved to Brussels to enjoy the northern light, the space, the friendly people and the belgium fries.

    Commence à peindre en 1992 en tant qu’autodidacte.
    Dès le tout début, le surréalisme a été ma direction principale où je retrouve une liberté d’expression non conventionnelle. 15 ans de voyages et quelques déviations artistiques m’ont permis de me retrouver, face à moi-même et à mes racines, sur une lignée de trains, très chère à notre culture surréaliste Belge. Un monde de rêve où l’élégance d’une femme sur un quai sous-entend la beauté d’un moment qui éffleure nos sens, un monde où l’imagination recèle d’amour, de positivisme et de secrets. Un mélange de cultures, une Geisha pour mettre en évidence la beauté d’une femme, un symbole de perfection dans un monde qui, de plus en plus, se mélange de diversité, d’une harmonie de différences et du respect de l’autre. De la mise en évidence de notre patrimoine de gare, à la transformation de lieux publics (ou privés) en gares, mon chemin semble se dessiner, sans réelle destination ; une voie qui se crée au fur et à mesure ; une nouvelle escale à chaque toile ; l’amour de l’inconnu et de nouveaux horizons surréalistes. Face aux changements climatiques qui nous arrivent pleine vapeur et une mer qui prend des proportions bien différentes, mes trains se retrouvent les pieds dans l’eau, une réflexion sur ces nouveaux choix qui nous sont offerts, une vision d’espoir, de respect et d’amour toujours plus grande pour la Vie qui nous nourri si généreusement. Sifflements, calquements de rails, roulements de vagues, coeur brisé et amours retrouvés, la surprise de dessein et la beauté de demain, transcrivent un monde où l’Amour et le rêve restent les locomotives de mon entrain. Un travail surréaliste qui reflète , pourtant, un présent bien réel...

    Event Description: Ignace Van Isacker fait des compositions avec des appareils photographiques. Il a bien la précision des hyperréalistes mais il est plus esthétique dans son approche de l\'art.
    Ce n\'est pas le sujet en soi qui l\'intrigue ni sa présentation, mais plutôt les compositions qu\'il en fait. Le choix du sujet l\'intéressse pour sa forme ronde ou cubique et pour les détails qui l\'accentuent (chiffres, lettres, métal, reflets ...)
    Il lui permet des constructions abstraites comme celle que fait un enfant avec des pièces de Légo. Il a eu une double influence dans sa jeunesse; d\'une part le réalisme de la peinture de propagande russe et américaine et d\'autre part les peintres abstraits de la même époque contructivismes américains (Soulages, Motherwell, Klinge, Hartung).
    De même nous retrouvons perspectives et construction dans les dessins au crayon présentés pour la première fois au public.
    Estacades, brises-lames et ligne d\'horizon ont certainement eu une influence sur cet artiste né à la côte.
